Lettering with Opuntia

qro letter1

I am in Mexico as of now and experiencing Latin American life.
Cactus is one thing that is highly indigenous to Mexico.
You can find them wherever your vision takes you to: in the highways, on hilltops, garden hedges, in flower-pots & balconies. They play various roles too. Some adorn a freedom fighter statue’s headgear, other fence a backyard, while a few others fill up in Gorditas to make delicious cuisine.
The species Opuntia in particular has interested me a lot. My love for it is only growing day by day.

I did some lettering artwork experiments with Opuntia.
I was trying to construct the word ‘Queretaro’. Do you get it too? Yes? 🙂
